Lenses
Lumitron offers our customers a wide range of off-the-shelf optical solutions for each of our camera products. We stock LWIR lenses (for our UC320 product), MWIR lenses (for our RC320 product) and SWIR lenses (for our NIR320 product) with a wide range of focal length choices to optimize performance for a given application. Each lens “family” maintains consistent features (back working distance, mechanical interface, focus type, etc.) in order to make lenses within a family easily interchangeable. As with all Lumitron products, custom optical designs are possible. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.
LWIR Camera Lens Selection
These lenses are used with our UC320 camera product. The lenses are fixed focus, environmentally sealed and the outside element is hard carbon coated. Focusing is accomplished via an internal camera motor that is controlled by the user. The sealing of the unit and carbon coating allows the camera to survive harsh environments without the addition of an environmental chamber (additional cost, size, and power issue). It should be noted that the UC320D requires the f/1.4 series of lens accessories.

MWIR Camera Lens Selection
These lenses are used with our RC320 camera product. The customer is provided with a choice of focusing options. The manual focus lenses are primarily used for indoor applications where the user has access to the camera. The motorized focus lenses are used in applications where the camera is remotely located from the user. The manual focus lenses interface to the camera via a bayonet mount and the motorized lenses interface to the camera via a fixed thread. All of these lenses have the same back working distance so they are interchangeable. It should be noted that the f/2.3 focal length lenses work with the f/4.1 cold-shielded InSb module. Please contact Lumitron if a custom solution, DFOV or TFOV lens is required for your application.

SWIR Camera Lens Selection
The SWIR lenses are specially coated glass lenses used with our NIR320 camera product. These lenses are similar in appearance to normal CCTV camera lenses and they are designed to have good transmittance throughout the visible and Near-IR wavelengths. All of these lenses all completely interchangeable in that they have the same back working distance and mechanical interface (C-mount style). All SWIR lenses have a manually adjustable iris and focus.
